Decent deskmat, a bit thin

I bought one of their Deskmats recently. The design was exactly what I wanted, and the print quality is sharp. It arrived pretty fast, about 5 days, which was good. However, I found the mat a little thinner than other deskmats I've used before. It still functions fine and looks good on my desk, but I was hoping for something a bit more substantial. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about my order status though, so that was a plus.

Good quality, minor shipping issue

I ordered a Kira Mechanical Keyboard during their Summer Sale. The keyboard itself is really nice, great build quality and typing feel with the Gateron switches I picked. It took about 10 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long, but it did arrive safely. The packaging was good, protected everything inside. I wish there were more details on expected shipping times before checkout, especially for sales items, but overall I'm happy with the keyboard and the price I paid.

Can you use coupon codes on group buy items? Got a new subscriber discount but not sure if it'll apply to a pre-order.

Nah, pretty sure you can't. Group buys are usually excluded from regular promo codes because the margins are super thin already. Tried it once, didn't work.

i think most group buys are locked out from coupons. best to use it on something in-stock if you can, like a deskmat or switches.

They do, yeah. Holiday sales are pretty common. Sometimes it's like 10-30% off, depending on what it is. I'd say waiting is a good bet if you're not in a rush.

They do have a return policy, but for custom or group buy stuff, it's usually more limited than if you just bought, say, a stock keycap set. Best to double-check their site for the exact details for custom builds.

Returns for custom stuff can be tricky with any of these stores. Kono usually specifies on the product page. I think if it's not defective, it might be harder. Might be worth checking their policy page before you buy.

Yeah, they definitely have hot-swap boards. I got my NightFox from them and it was ready to go, no soldering required.

Some of their boards are, some aren't. Gotta check the product description carefully for the specific model. But a lot of their newer kits are usually hot-swappable.

Oh man, group buys can be a loooong wait. Like, months. Sometimes even a year or more, depending on the set and manufacturing. It's not a quick thing.
